About Us

We are the Civil Air Patrol Orange County Composite Squadron located in Hillsborough, North Carolina.  Our squadron serves the local community through our three missions: cadet programs, emergency services and aerospace education.  All of our members are volunteers and CAP is a non-profit organization.  Our squadron is a composite squadron meaning we have both cadet and adult members.

The squadron emblem features the phoenix, a mythical bird that never dies, but regenerates itself by rebirth in flames.  This represents our everlasting presence in the community as well as the perseverance to overcome any difficulties, and never quit.  The squadron motto is "sine terminis", which is Latin for "never ending" or "no limits".
